Hummingbird Trapped?
Answer:
Put something bright red in the open window, hang it from a string or whatever. All hummers are attracted to red so this will get it's attention to the window. Then leave the room if you can or sit still they are spooked by movement more then noises. Hopefully it will be led back to the open window by the red color and fly out, If you can get a net it's best not to chase but to be still till it comes near you. Then you can net it and put out..They aren't mean but can easily have a heart attack from fear so if you net it let it go quickly.By the way a fishing net on a pole works very well.
Leave it alone for a while. Let it calm down. Maybe put out a mixture of syrup (made by boiling water and sugar together untill consistent). Put something over it (like a sheet, but nothing heavy like a towel, because they are so fragile, hummingbirds are as heavy as a few pennys and can easily be crushed). Say you manage to trap it under a pillowcase while its eating some syrup you put out for it, gently pick it up (using the pillowcase/sheet) and carry it outside. Put it down and put the syrup next to it, they run out of energy quickly, so the syrup will give it the power it needs to fly away when its ready to.
Hummingbirds aren't mean.
Don't catch it with a net, you could injure it, they are very delicate.
Open all doors and windows, remove screens from all windows. Remove all pets and people from the area so it doesn't see them or feel threatened and it will find it's way out.
