Are there any other ways i can save energy?

i have gotten those little curly light bulbs that are suposed to save you energy. Is there any thing else i can get to save me some money?

Answer:
Yes there are many ways to save energy. Be sure your house/apartment is well insulated. Put in ceiling fans. Turn the thermostat up at night and when you are away. Get a thermal blanket for your hot water heater. Turn down the hot water thermostat.

Consider switching to Butane heat if you can do so. Buy a wood burning stove for heat.

Make sure your house is well shaded. If you do not have shade trees put in lots of curtains to keep out the heat and light. Use insulated thermal glass in windows and doors. Take a shower rather than a bath.

Now here is the most important hint of all. Something you will not see in most advise columns. Get a statement from your utility provider (gas, electric AND water) that show usage for the last 24 months minimum. Then learn to read your meters. Call the utility company if you have to but learn to read your meter. If you do not do this then you have no way of actually knowing whether or no your efforts at conservation are successful. And do not be surprised at all if you find the utility companies are ripping you off especially if you are on average billing. Read your meter every month and compare it against your bill. If your efforts at conservation are not making a difference in usage then ask for help from the utility for something is wrong.

Be sure you learn to read your meter. And please remember to check usage rather than price. And don't forget to include the water meter.
Double glazing of your doors and windows, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation. Also washing your clothes at 30 degrees and, lastly, always turn your central heating down a few degrees to save on energy consumption.
you could get solar stuff. not always have your lights on **turn them off every time you leave the room. Dont leave your phone chargers in the plug, when your phone isn't plugged in, the charger still sucks up energy
A reduced flow shower nozzle will save you money (and the reduced water pressure really can't be felt to any significant extent).

Plus generally when buying new appliances, consider/ask about its energy efficiency.
Believe it or not, give up individual bottles of water. Goodbye Aquafina. They are a tremendous waste of energy, disposal is a problem and the price is ridiculous. Easier said than done, however. But I'm making the effort.
Spin Your Electric Meter Backwards with Solar Power
A large portion of the cost of a residential system is offset by state rebates and federal tax credits. In addition, installing a solar electric system increases the value of your home up to 8%.
Well you could turn off all lights when not in use or when you don't need them. Don't leave T.V.'s etc. If you need to go buy something and their is a store nearby then you could bike or walk over. Or carpool to save money on gas. Although, it seems you only want to save money. What about the environment?!
plant trees and install a solar roof top.
