Why do nature lovers in the US so readily point fingers at other countries?

like Mexico (where I live) or India, being it a fact that the US is one of the most polluting countries in the world?

Answer:
I'm a "nature lover," and I don't point fingers at other countries. I'd be the first to admit that our environmental track record is not what it should be.

Environmental degradation knows no boundaries. It's a worldwide problem.
i think that most nature lovers in the U.S. are quick to point fingers at the U.S. we know its our fault and we are trying to do something about it, ive never heard anyone blame Mexico, but I think we all need to do something, not just America.
Maybe because the US has been working to clean up the environment for the last 30 years, UNLIKE in Mexico where they still have outhouses within a few yards of the beach!

Have you SEEN the smog in Mexico City?
The Top 10 worst polluted places in the world are:

Chernobyl, Ukraine
Dzerzhinsk, Russia
Haina, Dominican Republic
Kabwe, Zambia
La Oroya, Peru
Linfen, China
Maiuu Suu, Kyrgyzstan
Norilsk, Russia
Ranipet, India
Rudnaya Pristan/Dalnegorsk, Russia

None of which are in America..review your facts.

***EDIT***

"POLLUTING not POLLUTED"?

If we were polluting we would be polluted, the more we pollute the more polluted we become, you make absolutely no sense.
Some are afraid to admit they're the cause for global warming.
The US is now one of the cleanest countrys in the world as of the last 15 or 20 years. All of our vehicles in major cities have to take emissions tests to be registered. All the power plants and factories have strict regulations on pollution contols. I dont know where your facts are coming from, But I guarantee we are more regulated than Mexico, India, and China. Those three have virtually no pollution regulations.
um no, nature lovers criticize the US about its polluting ways and thats on eof the reasons our country is basically split between republicans and democrats... but i know nature lovers mostly point fingers at china and india (not to mention the US) but i havent heard Mexico getting blamed
Look at it this way . At least we do have nature lovers to point fingers
It's usually the nature not-so-lovers that are quick to point the finger at other countries as an excuse for their inaction.

It should be pointed out though that part of the reason why the U.S. puts out so much pollution is because its economy is so huge. We do things a lot cleaner than most other countries but when you add it all up it is still a lot. If the per capita GDP of China, Mexico, or India ever reaches the same level as the U.S. their pollution will dwarf ours.
