Well, yes it would be confusing except for the fact that those who are concerned for the environment are also generally tolerant of the gays. And those who say that "god gave us the earth so we can take it and rape it" (ahem) are those who vilify the gays.

No i don't find it odd, I believe global warming is a real thing and that it effects our whether tremendously, great example here in Dallas we've had more rain fall and heat wave more so than usual in the past month, don't get me wrong we need the rain, but it's very unusual for this time of year; usually round this time we have a lot of heat and humidity, but the rain on top of all that.

By your line of reasoning, war sounds like an effective means of population control.
Homosexuality, Pro-Abortion, Global Warming hysteria with emphasis on over-population as the cause - These are all favored by "Liberal Democrats". One could argue the merits, but it IS a consistent philosophy - Their basic idea is that having too many people is killing the planet, so sex that doesn't produce more people-pollution is good and should be encouraged. If one were to commit a cardinal sin against this religion by having sex that makes a baby, you are free to kill it at any time before it is borne. (You just can't kill it after it is borne and becomes a mass murderer. That would be cruel and unusual, according to the religion)
Gay-bashing, Anti-Abortion and Rational Climatology are all tenets of "Conservative Republicanism". These are the people who are against butt sex and want everybody to be fruitful and multiply. They are not openly complaining about overpopulation killing the planet.
