I thought of Staten Island or Long Island since it isn't too far from New York City. Or Of an area in New jersey. Any ideas? I don't wanna spend a lot of money.. I just want a not "too" city like area. Like west hollywood.

Relatively inexpensive (you can actually buy a nice house there for $100k, and still make really good money).
Somewhere I found houses for around $3-10,000 in upstate NY. Near Buffalo I think it was. Don't know what was wrong with them, but if you want a cheap place to live, t here it is.
