The F/T process is too costly to be used effectively so why can't a new process be used?

This use is for making oil out of waste matter and/or coal of any rank. All kinds of waste matter can be processed into raw material that can be used in the same way it was when it was dug out of the ground and at less cost to the environment and pocketbook.

Answer:
The sooner we start utilizing the process, the sooner we can make greater progress and realize greater efficiency and yield. In a little less than 20 years we made incredible strides in nuclear energy. The same is true of the space program. In this information age, we may be able to realize great technological leaps in an even shorter time period.
First you have to develop a new (and more cost-effective) process. That may take years-or decades.

Technology doesn't grow on trees. It takes work, investment, and a lot of reserch.
Because there is no such process. Please stop this, the answer is the same, you may not like it but it is the answer.
