How do I throw away left over ink that was mixed with water in a cup? It was left over ink from the printer.?

Answer:
Leave the cup to one side in a warm place for a few days and the water will evapourate leaving the ink behind as a solid mass. You can then dispose of this in the garbage or if you wanted to be really environmentally friendly take it along to one of those places that recycles ink cartridges and they'll properly dispose of it for you.
you could try putting a coffee filter over the cup, and just draining the water out, or if you dont have that, a few paper towels should do the trick
I would drink it, then call poison control and see what they tell you to do.
Just rinse it down the sink it's not going to hurt anything. I rinse paintbrushes down the sink and just think of draino and all the other crap that goes down a sink. You're just over-complicating this.
The fastest way would be to take a stack of newspaper and slowly pour it onto the newspaper. Consumer inkjets use water-based ink. The water will evaporate and the ink will then be on the newspaper just as if you had printed on it. Almost all local recyclers take newspaper - just toss it in your recycling bin. Or the trash.

Those of us who have had experiences in chem labs are fairly well familiar with MSDS procedures. Every industrial chemical has one that will tell you the best way of disposing it.
Here's a website for HP inkjet cartridges. You can probably find the information for your specific cartridge, but I'd guess that waste disposal will be pretty uniform across the board.

And for a popular cartridge:

Pour it down the drain. The bugs in the waste water treatment plant will eat it.
