Does anyone know of any lakes near Columbus, Ohio that have an abundant wildlife, such as fish and turtles?

Answer:
Delaware Lake, about 25 miles north of Columbus has a state park, allowing easy access. Water quality in this stretch of the Olentangy River is not bad (see Ref). You should be able to find fish and turtles in both the lake *and* the river.

Turtles are shy - their survival has depended on it. Some of my best turtle watching has been by kayak, which can go into the small coves where turtles sun themselves on logs.
