What did you think of "Live Earth"? . on a scale of 1 to 5.?
I saw very little use in the whole program myself. Entertainers got on statge performed some of their music, the camera man spent most of his time looking for girls in the audience when they cut away to audience shots.
The BBC reported that the concert in Wimbley left more garbage behind than organizers thought it would and in the end actualll with the power consumption and travel of persons and celebreties added to the green house effect.
HMMMMM, not many followup stories on this adventure after all and to think they came and praised mother earth for mother earths sake, and yet non of them gave any Glory to God or appologiezed for what we have done to this world.
Scientists since the early 1900's predictited situations of this sort, and the Bible prophecies of climactic problems long before science existed. Should make you wonder who you should believe in?
Any thoughts?
Answer:
Not nearly as earth changing as Woodstock. Now that was a concert. I wonder if Al Gore was there?
I'd give it a 2. It certainly raised awareness of global climate change, but provided very little factual or scientific evidence about it. There were a few tips on how to be a greener person, but they needed to do much more.
I give it a zero, nothing but lies
1.
The viewing numbers were based on at least 6 seconds of viewing time. That's pretty much what you'd get from channel surfing over a 24 hour period. Even with that low hurdle to get over, it barely ranked with hockey - in the US. Something like 19 million total. Just a TAD shy of 2 billion...
Madonna said "If you want to stop global warming, jump up and down." I'm getting tired of jumping...when can I stop? I think I added some heat, just by all that exercise!
5
A ten on the scam meter.
GW is a natural occurrence and the Sun is also going through a natural cycle.
Can I give it a negative score? It probably made more people aware of just how big a scam the global warming alarmists are promoting.
I'd give it a 3
Organizers knew they needed a HUGE venue to bring attention to the climate crisis. Unfortunately, a lot of people have become complacent, self-involved, and ignorant. This will become a lifestyle choice to either make a difference or pollute and ignore.

well i thought it was too boring to watch - it was well intentioned but hey most people already know there is global warming.
music just isn't all that great - too bad the people didn't clean up and recycle after themselves - kinda shows what the real problem is - doesn't it.
Its been a while since someting so useless was hyped up so much by so few.
I give it a -5. The whole thing wasted gigawatts of electricity, generated 100's of tons of unnecessary garbage, and wasted 100's of tousands of gallons of fuel.
All in all, I would say that they left a very dark green carbon footprint. What a waste.
-2.
It may have been well intended (although the cynic in me says it was just musicians and ex-politicians cashing in on a current issue) but it's done far more harm than good and probably caused a hardening of attitudes amongst those who oppose solving the problem.
People need to start listening to the scientists on this, not talk show hosts, not musicians, not Al Gore, not George Bush and definitely not the Bible.
On a scale of 1 to 5 I give it a MINUS 5.
This whole Global Warming thing is a fabrication. I remember not that long ago these same people were predicting another Ice Age, before that they were in the "over population" phase and we were all going to starve to death because the earth could not produce enough food.
God is in control people! This is His Creation! I think it is highly egotistical of man to believe that we can impact God's work or override His plan.
Yes we can do a better job of cleaning up after ourselves but in the final analysis, His will be done.
I would say 4. I went to the concert, and it was awesome. I learned some more neat green tips, and the concert was absolutely amazing. The only thing I didn't like was Al Gore. He is such a hippocrite.
I'm a green person myself, and I thought it was good that they brought out that whole getting aware message.
If there weren't so much negativity publicity, it would have been better.
I also don't see why it's wrong to be more greener. Would you rather waste more energy and fossil fuels, and pay higher bills? I'd rather not. It's sometimes easier being more green.
