Why does everyone mention the actions celebrities take to counter global warming and leave out the plane?
So quit telling me how green they are because they use a hybrid. The plane is way worse.
I'm not a hypocrit, I don't mind them flying wherever they want, because I know we can't stop or even significantly alter the climate changes that will occur. I'm pretty happy half of the US isn't covered with a glacier. All I'm saying is if you believe in global warming and want to preach it, don't ask me to stop driving until YOU stop flying.

And most of these celebs have an entourage that requires two or more hybrids to carry. Two hybrids use as much gas as one mid-size SUV.

Who cares what they do, the problem still needs to be fixed... look at how many people are against fixing global warming because of a dislike of Al Gore or Madonna. That's even more stupid than preaching on climate change while flying your private jet, opposing solving a serious problem because of a dislike of some rich wanker who incidentally supports solving the problem (even if only for political or monetary reasons).
