Actually, the basic infrastructure of 1912 is similar today. Cars, phones, plumbing, electric lighting, steel framed buildings, oil and coal. Many cities still have street patterns and buildings built before 1912. Rail lines are deteriorated, but haven't changed much. He would recognize an airplane. He would recognize professional sports- a baseball team, a golf course. A man's business suit- similar. Books, newspapers, magazines (The New York Times, National Geographic)- still exist. Its in sad shape, but he would still recognize Government and its branches.
