they give back money if there is a deposit on the can or bottle. look for your state on the can or bottle and 5c/ or something like that. if you see it, you can get the deposit.
basic recycling plants pay a very small amount for things like cans or bottles or newspapers. we took a zillion newspapers in once and only got a few bucks!
They will take them, but usually, they don't give money for them.
Yes they still have those. They have them in Michigan where I live. I am not sure where it would be there though. Maybe go to http://www.google.com/ and type in recycling plants in Alabama. Or go to http://www.askjeevs.com/ and type in Where is there Recycling plants in alabama. http://www.dogpile.com/ also works really well. All I can say is look it up on the internet. You can find a lot! And if you find a address, go to http://www.mapquest.com/ and click on directions and type in your address and thier address and they will give you detailed directions, the approx. time adn the miles. hm.. i know that there is still a place to put glass and tin at the recycling bins, but as far as an actual plant... ? and only certain states will pay for bottles or cans.. you have to look on the bottle to see if your state's initials are on it.. for example, a lot of glass bottles will say something like " 5 cents CT, MS, ..." meaning that the bottle is worth 5 cents in connecticut and mississippi. i know for sure TN doesn't do that for glass.. i don't know about alambama.. and if they do, you could probably search the web for a plant near you.
Of course!! I can't tell you about USA, but in the UK they do, but they don't pay you to recycle here!!
