Is everyone ready to start the Anti-Continental Drift Movement?

Since we have the technology and willpower to prevent Global Warming "caused by humans" (or even naturally occuring Global Warming) we need to start controlling Continental drift.
Because of Continental Drift, earthquakes and volcanoes will continue to wreak havoc on society, especially on coastal communities. Who's crazy?..er, I mean, who's with me?!

Answer:
Yep, I'm in. I buy another tube of super-glue every week and inject it into a fault line. I think if we get enough people doing that it will seal the suckers in place.

p.s. if this takes off I'm buying super-glue stock.
so, what's the plan to stop this? im rather interestend and kind of amused at this.
Tell ya what: You start, and we'll all join in when we see that you're making some headway, ok?
Your Crazy silly rabbit.
YES! I am with you. I am sure that we humans are contributing to the movement of the tectonic plates by all the weight we put on them If it was not for us humans, the continents would be moving a much slower pace than they are presently. Without a doubt, we evil humans are to blame. I think we need to "thin the herd" of humans by about a billion humans to correct for our errors, I suggest that all who believe in Global Warming sacrifice themselves which will stop so much CO2 from being released into the atmosphere. This would also remove the need for so much weight on the continents which in turn would slow the movement of the tectonic plates. I think somone needs to organize a huge series of concerts for this.
I must say that you have a probability of success that is almost as high as the probability of sucess at stopping Global Warming.
Count me in! If turning down my water heater to run cooler can help keep the North Pole from melting away, then I'd be happy to tie a rope to a tree on the other side of the San Andreas fault and give it a tug every few days. After all, I want to "do my part".
A couple of problems with your analogy.

The problems due to Continental drift are small and manageable. The problems of unmitigated global warming are huge and unmanageable. They won't kill us all - they will cost us all huge sums of money, moving people and crops around, and replacing coastal things lost to flooding. Details here:

We have no clue about how to reduce Continental Drift, no countering forces we could apply. We know how to reduce global warming and avoid the disaster described above. Here's the plan.

We have a big problem and we know what to do about it. Pretty simple, which is why most people

and virtually all scientists agree.

There's another benefit to your plan brave and fearless visionary. We can keep our countries where thay are and stop them bumping into each other..A new slogan..Control Continental Drift...Control Immigration

Now which western governments are gonna get all tough on this one now?
I'm with you if you'll help me with my problem...

...actually it seems to be everybody's problem in the fast-paced world.

How many times have you heard someone say, "there just aren't enough hours in a day" or "wow, time really has flown by"? I propose we slow down the Earth's rotation to give us a few more hours in a day. Think how this will raise human productivity, to be able to do a full day's work and have some extra time to rest, or party, get personal things done.

You know, if we tackle this problem first, it might give us more time to figure out all of these other urgent problems...like solving Continental Drift.

Together, we CAN save the world!
"How many people have died from Global Warming caused by humans or nature?"

Quite possibly there have been tens of thousands that have already died as a result of global warming. How many died in Katrina, or floods around the world, famines or other storms such as tornadoes or cyclones? The exact number of casualties isn't known because we simply can't point to one particular incident and declare it was caused by global warming, but we know the incidences of killer events have increased significantly.
Yup, I’m with you.

Bob, says “The problems due to Continental drift are small and manageable.”

Well, they may be at the moment, but they won’t be for long.

Don’t people realise how bad Catastrophic Continental Drift (CCD) will get by the end of the century? I have a computer model here that predicts that, by 2100, the continents will be moving at 5cm per second. That’s 3m per minute. 180m per hour. That’s over 4km a day and over 1,500km a year.

The consensus of scientists agree: this is going to be a HUGE catastrophe. By 2100 London will be in New York!

People need to stop burying their heads in the sand about this. If something isn’t done soon, the human race faces extinction within 100 years.

I’m currently on a diet, to reduce my weight and thus the force I exert on the tectonic plates. Everybody needs to do the same.

Catastrophic Continental Drift is REAL!!!
We humans are guilty for abusing this planet, and we make me sick. There is only one way to combat human-caused catastrophes, and that is if we all kill each other so the sickly human race ceases to be a burden to this planet. Who's with me?
