Global Warming Question?
Ok I have a quesiton about Global Warming: If the problems is melting ice glaciers then why not take the melted water and use it for drinking after it is purified? Isn't there no salt in ice. Thats what makes it pure. Wouldn't that fix the predicted flooding and loss of land? I probably sound really dumb..
Answer:
Yes, but how we we restore the massive amounts of water before evaporation can take effect.
There must be time, but time itself is a huge factor.
You don't sound dumb. You are thinking, and that is more than I can say for our leaders who are denying that global warming is a threat.
Your idea is good, in that you take two problems "shortage of drinking water" and "melting of glaciers" and you use one to address the other.
Where your solution runs into problems is the quantity of water that is being released by melting glaciers. It is more water than all 6 billion of us could drink if we drank 24 hours a day every day for our entire lives. (Plus we'd have to pee it out, then our cities would be under pee instead of melted glacier ice. And that isn't a good situation either.)
Well its because thats entirely too much water fro people to drink because we already re-use the water in the sewage system. So basically there is no water leaving earth to allow that froken water to melt. The earth is already covered 70% (i think) with water. If it melts we're dead. The big scare is also about the animals because polar bears are dying off because since the ice is melting they have to swim farther to get to more ice. So it makes them burn more fat than they normally would.
Your idea sounds good but is impossible to hold or storage such capacity of water. Even the process of melting is very complicated or impossible to do.
the problem is that the water has gone into the river and is now in the sea
93 %of the earths water is salt
of the 7%,75% was locked in ice ,but not anymore
the North polar Ice is already in the sea and became salt instantly ,and the Ice from the South pole Green land ,the mountains and Glaziers as well as the mountain snow ,has run into the rivers or into the sea and is lost from us as a sweet water resource for ever
as well as raising the oceans water levels and already thousands of hectares of areble lands are flooded
