Why are hybrid cars often green?
Answer:
So the dopes who buy them think they are helping the earth!
HAHAHA!!!
Green is the color for enviromentally friendly.
Yellow in a cab is easy to catch.
red on a fire truck means get out of the way. and so on. :-})
Actually, the great majority of hybrid cars that I have seen are white (maybe because they reflect light better and stay cooler??). I guess I have to wonder why in the world it bothers you what color somebody else wants their car to be? If you want one that's black, then why not? But leave other people to choose THEIR colors, too.
I have never seen a green painted hybrid car. I live in Georgia & most of them here are silver, white, or black.
most hybrid cars arn't green. They are pretty much white and silver. Their are some black ones but I haven't seen that many.
That is a good question. We have a few articles on hybrid cars that will show you what manufacturers are working on, why, and what the future may hold for these types of cars. I've seen a few green ones, but I've seen them in white, silver, black, beige, and red too. I think it's just a matter of personal preference and it doesn't mean that all of the people who choose green are trying to advertise that they're driving "green" cars.
I almost bought a light green Subaru Outback a few years ago, and it had nothing to do with making a statement. I just thought it was a better color than the others, which are mostly so dark they're hard to distinguish from black. Light colors stay a little cooler in the summer and that's important here in the desert.
