How green was Live Earth?
So they did release tons of carbon emissions, but at the same time, they were also preventing other tons of carbon emissions, from around the world, to be relased into the atmosphere. Sometimes you have to take a big risk to do something good. Here's how green there really were: http://liveearth.org/?p=13
Answer:
Yes they went to great lengths to make Live Earth as environmentally friendly as possible, as you can see in their green guidelines

and they did a pretty good job raising awareness of the climate change crisis. Overall I'd say it certainly had a positive impact.
I don't think more finger-wagging Gore-worshipping eco Marxists have been in one place at one time.
Live Earth was a failure in every way. Not only was it not a "green" concert(s), the interest level worldwide was abysmal.
The general public is tired of being preached to by these so-called environmentalists that want us to change our lifestyles, while they live in exorbitant luxury. Nothing like seeing a motorcade of Hummers for one rock star, so they can get out and tell me that I should ride my bike to work.
What's most interesting/hilarious, is that they plan to buy "carbon credits" to offset the pollution; in other words, giving money to Al Gore's firm so they can feel better about their wastefulness. This is simply pretending the problem never happened - which is an incredibly ignorant, lazy, and dishonest solution to a clear and present problem. Perhaps we should tell people to not kill each other, but offer them "murder credits" so they don't feel so badly about it. Carbon credits is truly the scam of the century.
If Live Earth accomplished anything, it exposed the hypocrisy of the shrill environmental movement. If the environmental movement is to ever gain traction on a worldwide scale, it will have to abandon their propagandists, alarmists, profiteers, and polarizers, and adopt a more mainstream and sensible approach to pollution and climate change.
i don't know if you look anything like your AVATAR. but girl u look hot...Email me sometimes
Live Earth was a wasteful and hypocritical event. Look at the ratings and you will see that people aren't interested in being preached to by a bunch of energy-guzzling superstars like Madonna who just want the publicity, while they come and go from this event in their private jets, each of which causes more pollution than we do in a year. What a sham!!
