What's is the more formal name of green engineering?

There's a discipline of engineering which focuses on streamlining industrial machines, pipes, processes and suchlike, but I can't recall the name. It sounded something like systems engineering or control engineering. But I don't think these are it.

Answer:
Civil engineering maybe? Civil engineers have all sorts of different specific disciplines, but I don't know if that's the one you're talking about.

Could it be environmental or industrial engineering?

EDIT: i found an article on forbes.com...
