Global cooling?
Answer:
There has been several bits of evidence pointing to cooling in the southern hemisphere, but I don't think that we can jump to any conclusions of global climate change or the actual cause.
That is what the alarmist crowd does...
No, I don't think so. The earth's magnetic poles do appear to be reversing and during the reversal there is some decreasing of magnetic strength. This might result in more cosmic rays hitting the earth, which might result in more clouds, which might result in cooling, but it is probably just a fluke.
the poles shift every 30K years or so I think
not sure exactly, something like that though
so its probly not that, we have messed with the earth temp, the temps of the oceans afect many things, thats probly it
Look at the last ten years. 2004 was fourth warmest.

Temperature variation is dependent on El Nino.

First, scientists say that Earth's magenitic field has little effect on weather or climate systems (or even lightning).
Second, global average temperatures are rising, not dropping. The heating is occuring lock-step with the increasing rates of human-made greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide (CO2). This is known as global warming.
Third, it's important to understand that there's a difference between "weather" and "climate." The snow in Buenos Airies is weather occurance and may not be related to climate change.
Also understand that "global cooling" was a poorly formed hypothosis from the 1970's that was disproven almost immediately. Global warming skepticks try to compare 1970's conjecture (global cooling) ith 21st century scientific fact (global warming). The fact is global warming is very real.
