No. Has no bearing on permaculture as I understand it. Permaculture is unlikely to be a solution either. By far the biggest contributors to carbon dioxide accumulation are power stations, steel and cement manufacture and private transport vehicles. These exist independently of home gardening, with or without chickens that are supposed to eat the pests but not the produce.

His demonstration is similar to "Pascal's wager".
Well, it is a logical and responsible choice in order to eliminate the worse scenarios.
