I'm looking for eco-friendly giveaways for a green market fair. Are silicone wristbands eco-friendly?

Looking to use those cute embossed wristbands as a giveaway for a Green Market fair. Are silicone wristbands okay for the environment? Is it better to break down than the usual plastic? Hoping so!! please help! need to know ASAP!

Answer:
just ask the birds that get them stuck around their necks
Sorry they last a long time
You should give out seeds.

I could probably come up with more ideas if I knew what your budget was.

Another option if you wanted wristbands would be to make or buy hemp wristbands. Highly environmentally friendly.
Something made from a renewable resource like ivory or tortoiseshell.
I will recommend to giveaway a reusable canvas grocery tote you can add a logo or any message and you might find good prices on the web. If people start using this bags it will help to use less plastic or paper bags. Or if you are really want to giveaway a wristband go to http://www.seaglassorganic.com they have some that reads I'm organic
You may want to check out http://www.farfromboring.com/promotional... for some eco-friendly ideas for your event.

Hope this helps.
