What ever next?
Answer:
lol well a few years back they blames cows farting causing the hole in the ozone layer. I think they have no idea whats causing it. My own personal theory is we are comming the the true end of the ice age afterall there were no ice caps at the north and south of the globe untill the ice age so it may be a natural thing that is happening anyway
everything is bad for the environment
Farting cows are worse all that methane gas
Worms are too. They say they release loadsa greenhouse gasses. It's a wonder the environment has lasted as well as it has, isn't it?
Let eat all the cows, that'll solve the problem!
Don't be silly - how in world could you burp a cow? You'd never get that huge animal up on your shoulder, much less be able to slap it on the back.
Silly people
They're methane farts ain't good either, but it's us that have to work a backing off produceing this green house effect.
Yeh! whatever ... I heard that farting cows not only stink the place out - it causes more harm that our car emissions... The whole Green Save the World thing is out of control.
I think it's farting cows that are bad
we need to harness their energy
wouldnt worry about it too much mcdonalds is killing them all off pretty quick.
It's the burping and farting cows driving around in the 4x4 SUV's that are the real problem!!
So are trees because when their leaves drop, and when they finally die, they give off methane. And composting is bad as well, so out goes the compost heap. Buying worm poison to kill off these pesky methane makers.
I heard as well that dying is bad for the environment because your rotting corpse gives off nitrous oxides and CO2, but cremation is also bad. You can't live, you shouldn't die, what can one do?
One theory as to why the dinosaurs died out was do to all the vegetarian ones farting so much it caused global warming and they all died!
Same answer as I gace a few minutes ago to similar question. Not only is it true that emissions from cows are significant - because of the number of cows - but there is also some interesting research going on in Scotland looking at feed additives to improve the situation. Carbon emitted in gaseous form from either end of cow is actually lost potential biomass. Recent research is showing that by modifying the feedstuff you can get a higher yield of meat from the same feed input, less gaseous emissions and the cow is more content too. Do you find flatulence or wind comfortable?
Stick your hand up if you do.
No not there !!!
See, simple answer
Maybe so but they sure do taste good with A1 sauce
I think the biggest problem with livestock, that creates methane gas, is the fact that the manure is spread over large areas, increasing the amount of gases that it produces, because the surface area exposed to microorganisms increases, before it is buried by a thin layer of soil.
I believe the government should start working on building methane digesters in farm communities, so this manure can be processed without releasing the gases, then spread for fertilizer.
This news is very old - It's been a FACT for YEARS that the farts and burps of cattle are one of the primary contributors to emissions - more so than CO2. It's even more tragic because we destroy forests that give us oxygen and store CO2 to 'create' grazing for these methane farting/belching machines!
I think cows are great, they have evolutionised for centurys to be where they are now. The natural system cant be beaten, only when man starts meddling do we get problems such as increasing diseases. The trouble is man never learns from his mistakes but will keep on playing at being God until Mother natures fury turns on him big time!
