Can someone PLEASE explain the mentality behind such "students logic"?
WHY change to cows?
WHY HAVE THIS FESTIVAL AT ALL - BULLS OR COWS? Male or Female people?...
Am I the only one to think treating an animal this way barbaric?
I must be - quite obviously given (QUOTE) "The students say it's only logical that women should have their own bull-run.".. UNQUOTE

Education is the way fore ward, but people seem to be stuck in a time warp where they think its OK to treat animals with no respect and do as they please, festival or no festival there are other ways of celebrating! we are in the 21st century now,we are not cavemen any longer!! the slaughtering of a bull after all the torment is disgusting! when he's out there being bull-ied i hope he does hurt people then in a sad way he has some justice!

Personally, I am always rooting for the bulls. I think if people want to be stupid enough to run down a street being pursued by an angry bull...more power to them. It's not hurting the bull any. I think it's hilarious when some mope gets stomped or gored by the bull.
Seriously, it's tradition spanning hundreds of years.
If ladies want to have their own run, great. I haven't seen too many cows that would be real aggressive. It would be hard to get them to run like those crazed bulls too.
I'd fall asleep before they hit the end of one block.
Male and female. I think there logic is in it. But there is also a variant, that cows are not so furious.
Still all these things are barbaric. Only... people are barbaric to each other - and they treat animals the same way.
Or even worse. They think a human is a king of nature, and so on, and so forth...
Well what has always annoyed me about student thinking, is this notion that their opinions will save the world. It was around when I went to university and it certainly existed throughout the 70's with the ban the bomb 'crusaders'. This is just the way of society, once these students leave university and enter the real world, then inevitably most of them change their outlook on life. With reference to bull fighting, yes it does seem a barbaric sport today. But then again I'm not Spanish so really my opinion doesn't matter
I don't think the runing of thebulls is barbaric; however killing them in the arena later on is.
And one for the guys and one for the girls with cows? Pathetic, if you want to run, put up or shut up. Cows, you gotta be kidding me. Should we have a running of the lambs next with padding on the walls so nobody gets hurt?
