When red foxes are kits in the summer are they friendly and nonagressive to humans? Ty and God Bless!?
Answer:
These are wild animals and will respond to your presence accordingly. The only way you would get close to a fox is if it was sick or injured(or captive). The idea of holding one is bad and would create other problems for that kit.Try a zoom lense and keep your distance.Ilana has good advice.Unhealthy looking fox may have rabies.
Unfortunately it's best to keep your distance. Wild animals should not be trained to get too comfortable with humans, because their natural instincts are just that, wild. Eventually if these animals become too comfortable around humans, something bad could happen like the fox could get hit by a car, or maybe it gets too close to the neighbor's cat and the neighborhood freaks out. next thing you know, the "authorities" come in and kill the fox. Also if you feed wildlife, they are less likely to learn to hunt on their own.
