How do we know if the tree fell, if we werent around to see it???
Answer:
Listen closely, grasshopper, for the sound of one hand clapping.
if it is laying on the ground.
Because I tripped over the thing walking backwards in the woods one day. Also my psychic told me that would happen.
Not scientific but I hope it gives you direction.
Also there were no signs of lightning, termites, chainsaws, or foul play.
Because no one cut it down if the roots are still attached and above ground. No one pushed it over since the tree is probably very heavy and the roots are anchoring it into the ground. Perhaps the tree became very top-heavy and a very strong gust of wind or a wind storm came along and caused it to fall.
You kinda have to get rid of the philsophical questions with questionable answers and look at reality. Do you think there are places that don't obey the rules, like in a forest. And the classic question is "if there was no one to hear, did it make a sound?" Because the definiton of sound includes the receptor mechanism (ear). Well if there's no human to hear, you better bet that the animals responded and got out of the way or bought the farm, because they heard it !
if the three is laying on the ground with sign of destorying the plants arround it.
don't worry the squirrels keep a record of every tree that falls
and the birds,foxes .mosquito's,badgers ,
rats,snakes ,deer,beers,wolves ,moos-es,
and much more are all aware of it if they are close enough
Humans are not the only living beings around
in fact they are in the minority in the forest
Is this a riddle?
