Have you learned something new about green living because of a Q or A here on YA?

Answer:
Yes, I have learned a lot and especially from the answers to the questions I have asked.
yes
I learned quite many things.

I learned that biofuel is only a short term alternative to a much needed radical solution, like lightning or solar energy, which is not commercial to those on power in our societies. And that rainforests are being destroyed for biofuel crops to be planted, which is cynical and is being conducted by the same ones who are on power.

I learned that most of those who grew up on petroleum, will not give that comfort away, and that they are not people with whom one could nor should talk about issues of mutual concerne. The only hope we have is for them to die before we do.

I learned that there are many lost people, asking how to save energy on lightbulbs, flushing the toilet, recicling the obsolete newspaper or similar futile things, while their neighbors engage the entire electrical power in the neighbourhood to feed their airconditions.

I learned that our entire civilization is on a dangerous slope of selfdestruction due to greediness and stupidity, and that those who drive jeeps in cities don't give a s... about that.

I learned that an imposed solution, like the one the green living tends toward, has to come from above and not from under.

The green living is a lost battle against the petroleum living.
that there are a lot of environmental sociopaths/ ignorant fools every where you go especially the tossers who spam about global warming
I really haven't learned enough . I try to do as much as I can to help out. The problem I see is that even the experts are Hippocrates telling one thing but doing another. Take for instance the whole fluorescent light bulb thing. where Brandy Bridges of Prospect, Maine droped a $5.00 fluorescent light bulb and ended up paying$2,500 to clean it up. There needs to be a whole world effort not just one person.
Yes! I have learned & shared ideas on the Green ways to go.
I am always open to hearing & learning more.

ieaou has said it nicely.
Yes! most of those who are in the "green living" section are really uptight, and for the most part they don't have a clue.. In their minds if the Titanic was sinking a they where on board they would attack the influx of water and try to bail with a shot glass. Complete, utter waist of time, while the real danger, slips in above, below and from each end, you know people of Troy, where their own worst enemy
Yes, I have. Just browse around and you'll see.
