Do birds wee?

my 9 year old boy wants to know i think they do it combined in there poo but thought i would ask majority of the world first before i tell my son

Answer:
This is going to be a bit technical sorry.

Humans excrete nitrogen (waste) through urine. In urine is urea which is water soluable (which is why we pee liquid). Think about birds though, they are so tiny and small that a belly full of urea (liquid urine) wouldnt allow them to fly. So they evolved a different method of releasing their nitrogen. They convert their nitrogen not into urea but instead into uric acid. This is not soluable in water which means that they no longer need to pass it as a liquid out of their body. Instead it comes out as a paste (often what we mistake as their poop). The white paste is nothing more than uric acid (ie bird pee paste). If there is chunks in it then its poo but otherwise its pee.
That's a very good question. It could also apply to dinosaurs. I tend to agree with you. I've never seen anything except that white glop they aim at windshields.
You are right. The feces and urine are indeed mixed in a paste.
they do it all in one
and make wet poops
