Is there any interest in living in a privately owned cyber theme city?

I'm thinking of either a cyber city, not very big, but large enough to house a couple hundred hardcore fans of this particular genre. Imagine a residential area that fully surrounds a business area/common grounds. I would like to somehow build this up to be as self sufficient as possible, but I know that will take substantial money to provide that infrastructure, and besides, you have to pay (what bills you do have) somehow.

The great part would be the city would be owned by the residents. Everyone living there would have a percentage share of the city, have city taxes, make laws, etc.

I haven't ironed out all the details yet, but I have some ideas in mind, and planning on building a site this evening where I can put all my ideas down, as well as maybe a couple sketches.

My question is this: is there any interest? I've wanted to start a themed city, and have thought of fantasy or cyber. Any other suggestions, and anyone interested if this ever gets off the ground?

Answer:
Nope.
