Answer:
You are right of course. But what is your point? Do you think because a population of a few million aboriginal humans survived huge climate changes that modern civilizations can also survive? Modern civilization is much more fragile in many ways than the population of a few million humans that inhabited the Earth up until about 10,000 years ago. Because of our extremely large population our we are very dependent upon our food supply. If it fails then civilization fails. If civilization fails then the population the Earth can support will drop from perhaps around 10 billion to around 100 million people or so. That means that 99 of every 100 people would die. That is a disaster far greater then any the human population has ever had to face for the past 300,000 years. That is of course a very extreme possibility but it is a possibility.
I say 10,000 years old, not 325,000 like the article suggests.
Why is this such a big deal with you Tex? It doesn't matter what happened in the past its the here and now that is going to kill us if we don't reduce the amount of CO2 in the air soon. Let me spell it out for you buddy, W E W I L L A L L D I E!
at least 300.000 years old ,that was the date of a sandal print in lava that has been found ,and a sandal print means a civilized man ,not a cave man

a lot of evidence has been found of a huge civilization in the Amazon basin on the Columbian side ,who employed a very sophisticated way of agriculture and had produced an artificial soil almost a meter deep,in the poor jungle soil for thousands of hectares around
made by getting carbon from burning plants

pottery shards of huge cooking pots (big enough to feed hundreds of people in one go)were found on many hundreds of artificial hills suggesting millions of people
the date for all this was 300.000 years ago
about 445,000 years.and that is just a starting point that some may understand.in truth we may have been here in prehistoric times just not in the current human incarnate
