Where can I buy some good cloth shopping bags so I don't have to use the plastic bags?
Answer:
Kroger sells them, usually in the front of the store or next to customer service.
I have bought bags at Whole Foods that cost $1 each. Also, sometimes bags are given away. I have two free bags from Stop & Shop from Earth Day. Also, I have a pretty sturdy canvas bag that was given to me as part of a free gift at the Estee Lauder counter that is actually the perfect size for groceries.
You know you can just reuse the plastic ones. Just take the ones you got last time back with you on your next shopping trip and use them again.

L.L. Bean has classic canvas "boat totes" that are indistructable and stand up by themselves so they easy to pack.
Grocery stores sell them for pretty cheap like $1. Some also sell reusable bins so you can put a ton of groceries in it, good for cans and heavy stuff.
You could try a 2nd hand store and buy a used canvas bag.
most grocery stores will sell totes or reusable shopping bags.. I personally prefer the canvas tote as they are easy to mend and machine washable.
Why not make your own? Use old denim shirts and pants. The sewing is all straight lines and a bag is one of the most simple constructions there is. :)
If you really CAN'T do that then I would look on the web for some stay at home moms site or something for them to make it.
I've just recently purchased some off ebay. They were called Earth Bag or something and I got 4 of them for like $10. They are really large with long handles. Really nice. Go to ebay and type in grocery bag or reusable bag. You'll find some.
