Does anyone Else think that Al Gore is a hypocrite?
Answer:
YES and he is an ignorant dumb@$$
He isn't telling you to change the way you live.
He is telling you that you need to change a few bad habits, that will undoubtedly save you money anyway.
He himself has many habits he needs to change himself, he has not denied this, and has worked on doing so.
But you don't have to drive a $100,000 car to make simple changes that not only will reduce emissions, but also save you money.
Is the electric company a hyocrite for offering you suggestions on how to reduce your electricity bill, even if the people handing you the information hasn't gotten around to implementing all the suggestions themselves??
He is a hypocrite at the very least. This is a compliment.
jj has it right, the real truth and common sense
Al Gore is such a hypocrite that he make Mark Foley seem genuine and sincere.
Have you ever met someone who wasn't a hypocrite?
When you don't have the facts on your side then we attack the messenger. Very classy, instead of spending all of this energy trying to tear down Al Gore why not spend some time in researching the topic and then helping to end this problem.
I think we're all hypocrites in one way or another. If we keep finding reasons to discredit people who bring us important messages, though, we'll never get anywhere. If Al Gore wants to help get this important message to everyone everywhere, he's going to have to go by plane. He's going to have to use some of the world's energy to inspire the world's people to think about solutions. He's our central message bringer at this point. When the momentum of world problem solving increases, he won't have to be so vigilant about getting to so many places so fast and using the primary means we have available to do so.
Not only is he a hypocrite, but an admitted lier. He has admitted he has exaggerated the global warming in his movie.
Q. There's a lot of debate right now over the best way to communicate about global warming and get people motivated. Do you scare people or give them hope? What's the right mix?
A. I think the answer to that depends on where your audience's head is. In the United States of America, unfortunately we still live in a bubble of unreality. And the Category 5 denial is an enormous obstacle to any discussion of solutions. Nobody is interested in solutions if they don't think there's a problem. Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.

Of course he is a hypocrite. He is just in this for the money. And so is that Kennedy twit. The one who hired lawyers to stop the wind generators in windy Nantucket because they would spoil his view. If those two wanted to help the cause they would go away and live like opulent kings out of sight.
No. Goe is a decent man who is using the resources he has to try to make a positive difference.
The hypocrites are the losers who try to spear him--because they knw he is a better person than they areand they are jealous.
Yes he is like all politicans he is terrible at it, I heard that his house alone uses three times more energy then the average house, he must be growing some weed lol, its amazing what people will use for energy to get other people to stop using energy, plus you have to remember what ever they say doesn't apply to them :) You must bow before the great leader Al Gore lol....
who cares
Did anyone else here make 2 billion people sit up and take note of Global warming ??
And maybe motivated them to be good to our Planet ,
Jesus did not even come close.
There is so much wrong with Al Snore it would take the entire internet (which he invented by the way) to write it all down.
Global Warming is just away to keep him in the public eye and mmake millions on those foolish enough to byu into and buy his book and movie.
Remember he held a rally for gb and it snowed so when does it happen?
Just follow the money...

I don't know what's worse, Al Gore's hypocrisy - after all, he is only ONE man - or the delusional sycophants who prop him up in an almost psychotic manner to somehow maintain the purity of their dogma.
It's the same type of behavior you see in radical Muslims fanatical support of their mullahs and their psychotic attacks against any who would denounce them.
He is hypocritical, but what he is doing to get people aware of global warming is tremendous. The documentary, the speeches he does ( one that I attended for free because I am a student) and the Live Earth concerts all over the world. Rather than just pick on him, and use him as a reason why not to believe in global warming, see the overall good he is doing for us.
Yes, but I doubt that he'd see himself in that light. Anyone who claims to be concerned with global warming but doesn't consider the impact of the meat industry is ignoring a considerable chunk of the problem.
How do you know what kind of car he drives, back up your claim before calling someone a hypocrite. People will take jets until they built bridges over the oceans and seas so that people can travel on horseback.
If it weren't for him 'jetting' around the world to promote his findings, there wouldn't even be a category in which you can go under to call him a hypocrite.
Ironically, I never see anyone calling Bono a hypocrite; a rich man making efforts to relieve third world debt?
i think so he is CRAZY!
this belongs in the political section. For all Al Gore does and has done, the hybrid car he drives and green lifestyle he lives more than makes up for any of the carbon output he has. Most of the time hes using those things to get to a talk on Global Warming. I would rather have him educate 100 people on the subject by flyign a jet across the country than him not doing it at all. he'es doing so much more good than harm its not even funny...And if you're criticizing him, what do you do to stop your carbon output? i bet nothing.
its so easy to pick out the fautls of other people
