Is the grass ever greener on the other side?
Answer:
When you are standing on one side of the fence and looking across, all you see is the grass - it's green and lovely, and looks like a better place than where you are. That's because when you look down, you see all the grass roots that are the yellowish green, and the dirt, and the bugs. Go to the other side of the fence and look back at where you were standing, and now it looks greener.
The answer is no - physically and psychologically, no. You'll always want something more. That's part of the human condition - to strive for more. It's not necessarily a bad thing - that's how a lot of our modern conveniences came to be. Someone said to themselves 'there's got to be a better way', and they found it.
Sounds like you are a fish out of water right now - nothing is what you've grown used to. Get out of that 'it was different where I come from' mentality and take the time to find the cool and interesting stuff about where you live now - like the awesome pizza joint that stays open until two a.m., or the life size pink elephant out by the state road that was used to hide alcohol during prohibition, or the open mic night at a local cafe. Give your new surroundings a shot.
If you haven't been to the other side the grass is always greener there.
Not really. Eevryone wants wat they can't have. But, I'm not 100 percent sure. I guess it may be greener if ur neighbor dosen't water their lawn. (lol just kidding.) I guess it not ever is.
Age old expression. Sometimes it seems like it is. Some people have a "better" home, "better" clothes, "better" job, etc. probably, if we were to "really" get in their shoes we would find out differently! It may look good on the outside but alas not on the inside. Same with people!
One thing I know for sure, the grass is greener, lusher and generally more appealing over the septic tank. But then you have to remember where you are.so, over a source of water that is fed well, not stagnating, flourishing with all kinds of nutrients and generally happy water, that which grows is happy. Where are you in your life right now? Are you out making new friends, looking for a stable church fellowship group, finding things to fulfill a need in others? Have you looked for a neighbour to help, kids to read to, volunteering, giving back to your new community or are you sitting still, hoping for someone to come to you. Bake some cookies today, take them to a nursing home.sit and listen to a corney joke or an old story, then come back and look at your grass, might seem the colours are better now.
not for long
,with the aproaching cronic water shortage, the grass is gonna end up brown all over .
