I believe in evolution. But that MEANS are REQUIRES that certain species be allowed to die off, as the natural and necessary consequences of natural selection. It's always sad to see a unique and interesting species die out, forever, but that is what nature intended.
And whether or not man caused it is irrelevant. Pandas are being killed off by other bear species. Sorry Panda. That is nature in action.
(I don't have a problem with rescuing remainders and trying to breed them in captivity, as long as there isn't any pretense that we're going to repopulate them into the wild.)
It upsets me that builders wipe out huge tracts of forest to build homes 10' apart. We bought up acres of wooded lots around our house to protect them, and deer, owls and other birds, even some endangered snakes and other species enjoy the sanctuary we've provided.
But it's still up to each species to survive in the changing environment. The world environment has been changing since day one. A lot of species died out because of the increased oxygen that WE depend on. And a lot of new species are now thriving because of global warming.
I dismiss the fantasy that we are controlling nature, the climate, and evolution. We WISH. If we could do one millionth of that, we'd already have thriving colonies on the moon.
Help nature on a personal level, like we did, providing sanctuaries and helping nature thrive. That's something you CAN do and you CAN make a difference. But trying to make it a global effort is pure fantasy, and doomed to failure.
ok. first answer doesnt make sense. Evolution? No. Adaptation? Yes. But people have been asking that question forever. We should do something, but we wont. Sad but true. People DONT CARE! When the Day After Tomorrow came out, people thought it was a joke, that it couldnt happen...it already is. Begining with irregular weather & climate. Jake Gyllenhaul (whatever his last name is) isnt just a peice of sweet a**. He is an informer. Ok that sounded insanely tree hugger. Look, people arent going to spontaniously stop using gasoline or stop poluting because it makes cash. Face it, money rules everything.
WE should save the earth and animals. No one should wear real fur. i mean you still can eat meat but don't eat it all the time, just 2 times a week maybe. Don't be pigs here.
We should care about our society. Don't let people cut down the trees in the rainforests or anywhere. And why do people always have to waste so much paper? Huh, I want to know. We donn't have to use som much paper. 1 peice of paper can last us like for 2 days. And people need to recycle more. Just think about it, If you recycle more you can have another of that thing you just recycled. Say you recycle a plastic bottle, you'll be able to have another one that could be from the same bottle. And don't kill animals just because their eating your garden or eating you food. They didn't mean to harm you. there just poor little animals. If people will put food out for animals then they wouldn't go eat your garden.
yea we should do something
but many people are under the impression that we dont impact the environment and it doesnt impact us, when in fact its a condependent relationship, we need the environment to sustain us, or where would we get our resources and food sources
