What are your green resources?
Answer:
I am a big fan of ecological activism, starting with the lifestyle choices and purchasing decisions we make.
I enjoy reading the publications from Coop America (see below), particularly their "Real Money" newletter. Coop America also publishes the "Green Pages" in which they provide information to help people buy from environmental and socially conscious enterprises.
I also support Environmental Defense (ED) and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). These groups combine science, economics, and law to work for better environmental policy in the US and worldwide. They've been effective because they routinely go to court and sue the government or corporations when environmentally bad decisions are made. Both ED and NRDC publish great newsletters. Their magazines are the "Amicus Journal" (ED) and "On Earth" (NRDC).
My green resources would be, my garden seeds, harvested from the plants I've grown in my garden from the previous growing season, like tomato seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, corn seeds, cucumber seeds, watermelon seeds etc, etc. thusly..I do not have to buy new seed next spring, I already have them on hand, and ready to plant.
I would also say trees....But I think we need to preserve trees, trees clean our air, and provide essential life saving oxygen, trees are beautiful with their spring and summer green leaves, not to mention their astonishing beautiful fall foliage!
Please plant a tree!
I've been reading an excellent book called "Green This" by Deirdre Imus. It tells all about how to go green with cleaning and there are other tips in it too. I pick up other tips in other books too and sometimes magazine articles. I have changed things to be "greener" and I've been feeling very good about it.
I just use my common sense!
screw the green resources
