Answer:
its the way sun reflecs off it
chlorophyll is green
mine is actually kinda brown
Cause it feels like it.
In the plants there is a substance called chlorophyll and it is used in photosynthesis to produce ATP (energy) for the plants daily tasks and it is what makes plants green just like when someone cuts the grass the green on their shoes is the chlorophyll from the plants.
Almost all plants have chlorophyll in them. Chlorophyll is a green plant pigment used in photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is needed to do photosynthesis.
Like the leaves on a tree, grass leaves serve to collect energy from sunlight through photosynthesis. The photosynthesizing chlorophyll in the leaf gives grass its green color.

Like most plants, grass needs three things to thrive. It needs:
Sunlight
Water
Nutrients
because we have a very English approach when it comes to lawn decoration, and sheep need grass to eat, and in England a common source of income were sheep, so many family's would have a yard for the sheep to eat

otherwise you'd be asking about astro turf, or pebbles
Because the sky is blue, the clouds are white, and we like to lay in cool green grass and watch both. Grass is green because it is like any other living plant. It lives..
Grass is green because it is envious of trees which are much taller and don't get stepped on like grass does. Trees don't get mowed every week in the summertime and sprayed with Weed-be-gone.

Green grass comes from elves, who are themselves green. They sprinkle faerie dust over the earth at night and some lands on plants and turns them green. In the Winter, the elves hibernate so grass is usually brown during this time. But, in Spring time, the elves come back out and start sprinkling again and tinkling all over the grass, which is great fertilizer.Yeah, right, if you believe that one, you're pretty green yourself.

Truthfully, grass is green because it is filled with chlorophyll not chloroform that is a green pigment that reflects green light from the sun and absorbs the other colors.
Because the chlorophyll in the plant absorbs all colors of the spectrum except green. The green is reflected into your eyes.
