Actually, you reminded me of my science teacher years ago. Years back in the Philippines, the
rain was considered as pure. Very pure. They were actually used as to replace distilled water during laboratory activities. Now, leaves wither because of the rain water. Yeah, acid rain cause disruption of biological beings especially for plants. Agricultural products are now said to be dangerous because of acid rain. Its residues are bad for the health. The paints in the buildings and other structures are said to fade because of acid rain. Well... no one to blame though. Just us.
acid rain eats away the true form of something. it takes a much more than a few years. an example could be the statue of liberty. the french gave it to us as a symbol of peace. it was a turquise greenish color and part of it still is, but now it is wearing away from the cause of acid rain. what forms acid rain is water that is filthy. then with the filth inside of it the water gets evaporated. then it comes down as rain and eats away at the form of statues and/or plaques.
what effects are you looking for? theres all types and sizes, such as the eating away of crushed limestone in the driveways and road surfaces, spoiling the lakes and streams with dead fish carcases because the acid depleats the o-2 content in the water at a higher rate than normal. the reason that cars have to be kept almost spotless, chemicals that leach out of rain will ruin the cars finish quickly, this could go on for ever, finding causes and effects are easy.
