How many people wish that there was peace on earth and good will to men?

I do. I hate this fighting -n- junk that is going on. It is not good for little kids to grow up like this. Who is w/ me?

Answer:
I'm with you. it's pointless. Can you imagine just how much less stressed, happier, more productive, etc. we'd be without all that unnecessary fighting and stupidity?
I do
im against
this world will be so boring with world peace
I agree, but ultimately it is all being done to insure your freedom...
I definitley belive world peace would be the most amazinf thing to ever happen to this cold world. however I don't believe there will ever be a realistic chance for world peace. There has always been conflict, whether between individuals, families, or nations and that is not going to change unless you eliminate a few basic things: unequal distribution of resources, greed, and the desire for power.
i am wid u dear!certainly.it is so absurd even to ponder upon wat v have done to nature and mankind!! i just wish v can change dis...really...
me
If I wished for it now, what would I wish for at Christmas?
Me all the way.
It the fact of a few big headed pr!cks that there is so much war and hatred today.
Maybe one day in the future there will be peace.
Peace and love to you all

i think everyone does, its just something that has never been achieved before on earth so it would be nice to have it now before it gets to late
As soon as I read your question, my thoughts turned to the element in it that struck me as being missing. Your use of the word, "men," (which is typical in that phrase) brought to mind the atrocities of the OPPOSITE of good will that is being done constantly to the hundreds of millions of girls and WOMEN worldwide, in the form of forcing them to wear burkas, their being wantonly slaughtered in generally unprosecuted, so-called, "honor killings," deprived of safe and reasonably-priced, and unrestricted access to the future-opportunities -restoring remedy of abortion, and the genital mutilations of young girls... and generally treated as last-class citizens with anything BUT equal rights.

Until such tragedies are corrected, the world will NEVER truly experience good will.
Thanks to my most beloved elementary music teacher - I do.

I'm with you all the way,but as long as we have this god forsaken president we will always be fighting.Need a good and new president.
The drugged-out rock star, Jimi Hendrix, once said: "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."
We profess to want peace, yet we embrace war because it's necessary to protect our "freedom". Actually, all war does is enslave us all to a global society of hatred, bias, mistrust, prejudice, and bigotry.
Anyone who believes the U.S.A. unconstitutionally, illegally, unjustifiably, and immorally attacked Iraq to defend our "freedom" is naive. Those who believe we're there to bring democracy to Iraq are equally delusional. We attacked Iraq - a nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States - for three reasons:
1. The Bush family's personal vendetta against Hussein that dates back to Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was criticized, ridiculed and humiliated for 'not finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time;
2. Cheney wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his Exxon-Mobil buddies can get richer and richer and richer feeding America's addiction to cheap easily-accessible foreign OIL;
3. Ever since World War Ii, the giant U.S. military-industrial complex (which Eisenhower warned us about) realized how profitable 'war' could be. So all the politicians were bought up, pricey lobbyists were hired, and special interest groups were formed to encourage and promote more 'war'. Thus, we were embroiled in the Korean Conflict, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Cold War, Vietnam and Desert Storm so that McDonnell-Douglass, Sikorsky, Lockheed-Martin and other government contractors could reap in billions of dollars in profits. This new 'war' was necessary to allow two 'newcomer' contractors to sidle up t the government war trough: the Carlyle Group and Halliburton both have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House, and have raked in billions of dollars in profits. Halliburton has a contract to build fourteen (yes - 14) permanent military bases in Iraq. Yet, Halliburton is relocating its corporate headquarters offshore to avoid paying U.S. federal taxes!
Peace on Earth - Goodwill toward Men will never happen as long as most of mankind covets power, money and influence. -RKO- 07/07/07
