Any good tips for recycling? l have one--?

Recycle old drink cans by turning them into chinese lanterns, just cut slits half an inch apart all the way round, squash the can down, and magic-its done, just slip a tealight inside, use your fav cans. x x x

Answer:
That's not really recycling, just reusing. It's a neat Idea though...
Cut soda cans in half fill with sand then drop a candle in...works great while you are camping
Cool! I hadn't thought of that.
Recycling can be done with metals, most plastics, electronics, paper, etc.

by the way, what you are talking about is generally referred as "reuse"

good things to reuse include water, cloths, paper towels.
after rinsing dishes the water (if not extremely soapy) can be used to water plants.
cloths such as old clothing can be used as rags or to make a quilt (if you have the capability to)
paper towels are usually very tough and can be reused a once or twice after wiping up a spill.
water bottles should also be reused to reduce the amount of plastic needed to be produced and recycled (both cost energy), by reusing a water bottle or buying a reusable water bottle will save the energy and material required to produce plastic
using canvas bags for shopping will also reduce the amount of plastics produced and the amount of trash that you produce. some stores even give you a discount for this!

doing many of these things will reduce your impact on the environment as well as save you some money.
I am very creative, so I take just about anything and turn it into an art project for the kids I babysit.
I really like that I will try you.
I am proud of you it's resourceful so you are reusing and then recycling ( I hope) when you are done! That is a GREAT idea I give it a star and a thumbs up!
But sorry no I don't have any tips "(
Its not really recycling but tis helpful don't buy soda cans n stuff you can jus take the recipes and remake them and put them in the original bottle so you don't waste plastic.
I shall try that, but how many lanterns do we need? Another one, is to shred old clothes and fabric to make a thick wad of wall insulation. Reuse water, where only organic soaps like tea tree oils were used, to water plants etc.
Nifty!
Call your local animal shelter or SPCA they will take the cans preferably crushed and turn them into money to help animals in need.
If you don't want to help animal shelters try a fire station or homelss shelter.
Scout groups will also take them and crush them and pick them up too!
Here in our town and surrounding communities we have a special garbage week called clean up week. Alot of people clean out the stuff they don't want any more and put it out by their garbage can. Other people go hunting for treasure on these days. It's loads of fun to find cool things that people are throwing away. This year we found a like new TV stand, a waterbed, mirrors, computer desk, books, and loads more. You wouldn't believe the stuff people throw away.
My California city recycles once a week on garbage day..We recycle cans, glass, junk mail, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and newspapers. We only set out the garbage can once a month, as we have a trash compactor..I also use the canvas bags for shopping.
Not a bad idea.
