Answer:
Yes, I made the pledge.
I do the best I can every day. I bike to work, eat only organic foods and live by example. Lucky for me, I am not only a scientist but a science teacher. I do not instill fear into my students but I get them involved by raising awareness and volunteering for local environmental programs. I involve the youth of today and show them why taking action is so important. I also teach them about current research in global climate change and the mechanisms that influence global climate change. Oftentimes, I do feel powerless against politicians *sigh* but at least I have enough influence to get our young generation helping out.
Yes. I signed the pledge and promised to turn of appliances that I'm not using. I also sent the pledge form to 10 of my friends.
I'm really excited about all this.
I think that is a great idea. Let's shut down all the factories and limit our use of our cars so we can't go to work. Put companies out of business and limit our ability to grow food and shop. I have a big can of gasoline I bought for my mower. I think I'll go outside now and pour it on the ground. Do you think that will help global warming?
My commitment started decades ago! :~)
Yes.
I'm eating as many cows as I can. But I'm only one man.

No, because man-made global warming is ridiculous.
Earth is in a natural cycle. Greenland has been warmer in the past. The way that we keep our environment clean is through a prosperous economy. Rich countries can clean up their messes. The way countries are going to fight global warming will make peoples lives more expensive and hurt their economy.
I'm not saying we don't have some environmental crises, but the science behind carbon emmisions is spurious at best! A close look at the evidence seems to show that CO2 amounts rise as the temperature gets hotter, not the other way around.
Even if CO2 was the problem and the US cut its emmisions in half; India and China are on a path to increase their emmisions 10 fold in the next few years. That's where the work needs done. Afterall, China is exempt from the precious Kyoto Protocol. What a freakin' joke!!
200 years of temperature readings is much too short a time to create a overall climate view of a planet that has existed for billions of years. It's like asking 200 people what flavor of ice cream they like and extrapolating it out to the entire population of the Earth. Impossible!
Good ol' Al likes to use scare tactics to over dramatize the situation.
Did you read the fine print about enlisting as a GI in our global war against India and China? Those nuclear powers will not go down without a fight, and that is exactly what it will take.
NO, are you people ALL crazy?!?! the same thing thats happening today ahppened years ago. Global Warming is just another way for governments to get money off the citizens of their countries.
Yeah. I'm trying to get as many goofballs who believe we caused this to shut up and stop warming the air any further.
