Where can I find help for a common wild bird that's injured?
Answer:
Try calling the Small Animal Clinic at Louisiana State University. They're usually really good about knowing where you can take injured wildlife. You can reach them at www.vetmed.lsu.com
go to the vet, or eat it.
Call a local vet; they should be able to refer you to an animal rehabilitator in your area. They should be able to take the bird and tell you what to do with it until you get to them. Good luck!
IN some areas there are WildLife resuce Centers
and they do great at just what you need.
Red Mountain Wildlife Center as well as Oak Mountain Wildlife Center is here in AL... maybe you could call them & ask them who is near you :)
Also, locate a nearby State Park in your State & call them & ask... I am sure the rangers would know as they have to have some place to help injured wildlife
call your local vet or animal control they can tell you if there is a animal conservation or wild life refuge in you area.
I live in FL (with a bird shelter a few blocks from my place) Once my dog found a cockatoo and brought it to us in his mouth (I’m pretty sure he’s the one who messed it up in the first place) the wings and beak were broken and it didn’t look like it would survive but my family and I nursed it back to health ^_^ and you can’t even tell that it was ever hurt. It really feels good to be able to do something like that ^_^
ANYHOW!
I never been to your area but I did a search for you and this is what I found for you
hopfully it has a listing in your area

I hope this helps ^_^
