Global warming?
Answer:
Oh, wow, Al Gore and several other thousand democrats would cheer for this question right about now. "Global warming is ruining us, coastlines will be flooded and we will all die! Let's start driving hybrids and using solar panels and we will all be safe!"
SHUT UP!!!!!!!
Global warming is one of the dumbest, stupidest, and ridiculous theories out there. Oh no, the temperature is raising. I'm sure our climate has never gone through changes in temperature before, this must be the first time....NOT!
It's stupid to assume that just because the temperatures have gone up a bit that the Earth is going into a "global warming." Our climate has gone through changes before, it's stupid and ignorant to assume that it is the issue now. And the do you know how much the temperature has raised (According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)? .6 degrees Celsius OVER THE LAST CENTURY. That is so significant, isn't it? I don't think so either.
And this slight SLIGHT raise in temp isn't our fault at all. Half of the global warming of the last century has happened between 1900 and 1945. If it was our fault, it would have happened more recently, seeing as we have been burning more fuel more recently.
So don't buy into the crap about how global warming will wreck us, it's all a bunch of stupid political garbage.
Their ignorant, and don't want to stop driving their SUVs. It's not convient for them.
And those who do want to do something can't, because companies, like oil company Exxon, are spending millions telling people exactly what they want to hear: Global Warming doesn't exist.
The public gets to keep guzzling gas, and they get to keep lining the companies pockets.
We will probably do more if everyone will talk about it. But hardly anyone does. Everywhere you go even politics they try to fight crime, drug dealers, but they don't say we need to enforce recycling, force the car dealers to have their cars more enviorment friendly . Unless some with authorithy says something nobody else will do anything.
Becasue global warming is the natural cycle of the earth's climate we have little to do with it.
It could be that when the public loose`s confidence in the political leaders ,they also loose confidence in all the climate experts has well.
I believe it's like most things in the world; no one wants to help or take any action until it somehow has directly affected their lives. Then these same people are up and ready to take part in it, to make it better.
Wouldn't it be great if we could all take part in making the world a better for everyone by doing something so easy as changing the light bulbs that we use.
You asked a great question, KUDO's you!!
It would be very foolish to do anything at this point other than study the problem and try to reduce the use of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels have many problems that can be observed and proven, unlike the idea that they contribute significantly to the global average temperature.
I don't believe man can be shown to have have had a significant effect on the global average temperature, but we don't need to be jumping the gun on a problem we don't understand.
I agree with you. They just want to use up the money on things that don't make sense, like the war!
"After strong lobbying from EU leaders, Mr Bush agreed to "seriously consider" a proposal that would result in a 50% cut in carbon emissions by 2050" (source: http://politics.guardian.co.uk/foreignaf...
I think the US will eventually follow Europe's lead on the matter but the REAL problem will be convincing China and India to follow suit.
They alone are responsible for A LOT of the world's pollution and it will only get worse as every Chinese and Indian will eventually want a car, air conditioning, central heating, etc (which everyone is entitled to , of course)
Why should i worry now and die of a heart attack?Every generation is faced with a bunch of problems.Atleast i'll die by the time global warming starts becoming really bad.
Not many people are serious about it!And even if they are and you ask them, they have a lot many excuses to give!
Probably because they're too intelligent to waste their time trying to solve a problem that cannot be solved. The earth's cllimate is not constant. It is always changing.
The earth is presently in an interglacial period of an ice age. Ice ages only make up about 15% of the earth's total history. The earth needs to warm up quite a bit more to get to its "normal" condition.
