NASA and SOHO have both said that they have found that the Sun is going into its highest cycle and that solar storms will increase and heat output could go off the charts. A temperature fluxuation in the Sun can relate to a few degree change here on Earth. Even a sunspot can influence Earth weather changes.
Are you going to fly to the Sun and cool it off?
Therefore a Carbon Tax and changing our ways isn't going to change anything here on Earth as far as the Sun is concerned.
We have never experienced the type of changes that can occur in a short amount of time from solar output, super volcano's, 10+ magnitude quakes.
But they will all happen - we have just never experienced it because they only happen once every 100,000 to millions of years apart!
They are not getting one dime for this man made BS!

Manmade global warming suggests we reduce fossil fuel consumption. I agreed with that so long ago I cant remember the day. I have no stronger desire than to eliminate any relationship with Saudi Arabia and the rest of that accused region.

No, it's not. The sun is responsible for a small fraction of global warming. 0.12 W/m^2 of radiative forcing as opposed to 2.42 W/m^2 of radative forcing from greenhouse gases. See page 4 of the IPCC report Summary for Policymakers:

The sun does influence changes in the temperature for sure.
BUT!
It is a very small change relative to GHG forcing. So if you are saying these changes are off scale, they are still relatively small, and additionally show the magnitude of GHG forcing.
The sun is carefully measured. Climatologists include solar radiation in their analyses. To think they would ignore the sun and not include it is utterly ridiculous.
And it's only about 10% of the present warming.

Have you ever heard of the Ozone , there is a large hole in it, man made. With jerks using spray, all kind, fumes from petrol carbon, etc it grows larger. Is a matter of more heat entering. By the way, if you want to see for your self just go to Patagonia. Oh, there is one thing known as balance, there is a balance between the heat and cold in the sun. If you can make it, take a trip to the center of the sun, have a nice winter coat handy, is coooold there. The sun is a star, ours is a small one, and stars, sooner or later die out. We live here too; mankind that is. We're not cold blooded, so the Lord (or whatever you believe), gave us fossil fuels. They are to be used.

First, scientists have taken core samples of various places on the Earth and studies them to find out what temperature ranges were like millions of years before humans.
Second, just because the Sun might be getting warmer does not mean that humans cannot increase the temperature on Earth even more.

Another small point - Global Warming isn't caused by the (very very small) variations in the sun's energy output, it's caused by reducing the earth's capacity to get rid of the energy that is constantly arriving from the sun.

Now, take a look at the smaller graph and its caption:
"This data is the same as the black curve in the figure."
Sounds reasonable...but wait.
You'll notice the low temp starts at around the same place: 1910. But the anomaly is -0.6 C in the lower graph of actual temperatures and -.2 C. OK, maybe they just used a different baseline...maybe, the max temps are ~0.6 C in the forcing graph and ~0.2 C in the actual temp graph. Back on track - just subtract a -0.4C baseline from the modeled graph.
Let's take a closer look, though:
There's that characteristic cooling trend in the 40s, good, but...
the peak in the forcing graph is about 1947, when it's about 1941 in the actual temps. No biggie...I guess. The forcing anomaly is about 2.5 C in 1941, which should make it about -1.5C in the actual...but it's closer to 0.5. At least a 20% error. Hmmmm... How about the '75 minimum before the current warming trend? 0.2C in the forcing should mean about -.2C. Instead, it's about -.13C. Hey, that's only a little over 10% error. Pretty good...in horseshoes and handgrenades. For grins though, let's look at the modeled curve: about .03C translating to about -.37C. Huh. 30% lower than actual temps. Maybe they still had some of the "global cooling" algorithms in their model...
We'll simply overlook that the 20th century warming trend started about 5 years sooner than actual, or that the modeled cooling trend cane in '51, a whole decade after the actual trend. This is THE BEST THAT SCIENCE CAN GIVE US!
We know, because Al Gore and the IPCC tells us so.

Not to be used in conjunction with rationalization of global dimming to explain the 1940s cooling period with subsequent rise in the mid to late 70's post-Clean Air Act. As plainly shown in the graph, sulfate emissions actually decreased in the decade up to 1941, hitting a low at the start of cooling (decadal low for dimming). Similarly, GH, Solar, and Volcanic forcing were at decadal highs. Damn you, Earth! The model says you didn't have a reason to cool. And to make it worse, GH forcing continued to increase exponentially except for a small ~4yr dip centered around 1945.
And the Clean Air Act? SSssshhhhhhhh...sulfate dimming has continued unabated since the act.
