Why do you get bored?
I am never bored. I may find one thing or anyother as "boring" but as an adult I have learned to shift my attention elsewhere and not be dragged down or bothered with boredom. Even when I am doing absolutely nothing I can find great joy in that.
Whenever I hear an adult say, "I'm bored," I think of that person as being immature and needing to grow up.
Few statements get on my nerves more quickly when they come from an adult. I expect my son to be bored at times. He's a five year old after all, but an adult...no.
What do you think? Am I too hard in my opinion? Am I abnormal in this or is what I think and feel normal? Do you get bored as an adult?
As an aside, I often ask my son if he is bored when it seems he should be. His answer is always, "No." He cracks me up. Maybe he's more grown up than all of us. I love that boy.
Answer:
I agree totally. Whenever someone tells me he/she is bored, I usually respond, "Only a boring person can be bored." There is too much excitement in life to be bored. It's a choice.
sorry what were you saying again, I got bored
- totally agree -
I get bored when I study hours and hours in a row with no end in sight. I am young, I should be out there moving around, working out, shopping, hanging out with my friends. Instead I just sit here and study for a test that I may do really bad on. That's when I get really bored.
