Animals seem to already know the meaning of Life from birth. Man, 'intelligent' though he may be, doesn't. He seems to me like an animal whose instincts have been somehow crippled.
intellect and free will
The only thing in my opinion is communication. We have no idea what an animal is thinking because we cant communicate, we can only use logic and science to try to interpret them. This is why some animals can be dangerous, they could be as tame as a 73yr old woman, but one day be irritated and express that to someone that doesnt undrestand by lashing out from frustration.
Beasts do not possess humanity - a quality only found in humans.
