Why do films make me cry?

Any sad films or sad stories on tv always make me cry. This morning i was watching 101 dalmations with my son and if anyone seen this bit then you will know what i am talking about - The dalmation gives birth the first time and they think one of the puppies is still born.I could feel myself welling up. I dont know why!

Answer:
its just cuz ur a caring person
You are just a very emotional person, there is nothing wrong in that.
you might just be an emotional person because they make me cry and i never cry it could just be a place where you can let you're emotions out with an excuse =)
it seems you are a very emotional person
it also reflects that you are so down to earth and caring
and you feel joy in others joy and fell sad if others are sad
you are not ill or something else you are true of your heart and a good human being
because you're human and have feelings, totally normal : )
You are gullible and fall for hollywood emotion traps.
because they are sad???
May be its because you have a sympathetic nature,Bless
when u watch a film then u get 2 know a lot more bout the character jst if they were a realitive. so when sumthing bad happens 2 them u can't help but cry. its also coz ur a sensetive person XxxX
you are just simp0ky carried away by your emotion and nothing is wrong with that I guess.I also feel the same way sometimes.
You're empathetic
Bcoz you are a pure hearted and emotional person.
keep it up.
I am always like that! I cry at nearly anything, but I think it's usually one of two things -
Me - I have empathy and get pretty emotional, or
The thing I watch - some things are designed to make you cry, because it makes you feel better afterwards.
I have the same problem 10 fold, mine is caused by brain damage from having a stroke, I know this because I never cried before the stroke, I was practically emotionless, now I am the complete opposite of the person I was before; emotionally. It is a curse if you believe in them, if not it's poetic justice or Irony personified!
May be you are an emotional person so that is why films make you soppy.
I do that all the time even at eastenders, if anyone on telly is crying or laughing, I cry too. I read that you can feel what they are feeling thats why you cry, although their not really feeling it on telly. Empathy.
triggers - these are things that hit our unprocessed emotions stored away in our subconscious...all previous undealt with grief and losses

also i have there to be a "sacred trigger"
where something we do not fully underdstand and is "sacred to life" makes us emotional

like listening to wailing, or lisa gerrard, or native indians chanting...

relevent to "primal scream"
our cry to understand "life" itself
