I think i need anger management?
I get pissed off for every little thing, i hate lazy people and i get stressed out over everything. Please what do i do? Is there a way i can approac my school phycologist or something and do something without my parents or anyone knowing. I really don't want to be angry all the time or become abusive.
Answer:
I admire your wise ability to admit you may have an anger problem.
My son is taking Anger Management as a court ordered thing. Why? Well he finally got so angry one day he hit someone. Anger Management will help you identify your cycle of violence. The class has done wonders for him. Remember, it is ok to be angry, it is how you express that anger that matters.
Please make an appointment with your school psychologist, ask him if everything you talk to him about will be kept confidential. If not ask your school counselor who you can talk to confidentially about a problem you are having..
The world would be much better off if more people identified then sought help for their problems as you have done.
Thank you.and good luck
Nah, I hate lazy people too. It's only normal. And being stressed out just means you're ambitious.
Same here. I hate the way people eat even when they make alot of noise! I dont like to be asked questions by my parents eithier, it pisses me off.makes me feel like they think Im suspicious or something...
You can always call a help Hot line! they can tell u who 2 talk with!! It is confidential
You don't need a special approach to talk to your school psychologist...just make an appointment; all you have to say is that you'd like to come in and talk to him/her. Don't chicken out; go in and get it off your chest.
He/she is there for you and will be honored to help someone like yourself who is aware that there may be a problem. They are very much in tune with this sort of thing and will definitely help you figure it out.
I doubt if they have to tell your parents about it unless it is life threatening. If you are afraid you will hurt yourself or others though you need to go ahead and tell them. Better to deal with it while you're young than to end up in Folsum Prison or somethin'.
I'm not sure how to advise you. I know the feeling though, I get crazy and freak out (but mine usually builds up over a long time). Proverbs might be good. It has a lot of stuff about how to avoid anger and be peaceful (and it agrees with you on lazy people).
Probably your anger is justified, you just have to handle it right.
It's not wrong to be angry. "Be angry and sin not"
You may not have a "real" problem, unless you actually move on your violent ideas. You could just be going through that "changing" phase. But just in case, you might want to seek some help. The easiest and freeist (that's not a word.) help that will be confidential is a religious leader. A pastor, be careful if you select a priest, I would not select the leader of the church where your parents go, except in the case you approach a youth-leader. Depending on the relation between your parents and the leader, something may slip out during coffee. Get the local phone book out and look at the church listing. Select one and dial it up. Most religious leaders will counsel you via the phone... as long as it does not get weird. But do something about your anger if it starts to tip, or the judge will.
Sounds to me like you are just a little on edge. Not anger management. But you could still talk to your school counselor on ways to relax and feel a little more at ease. Just for that, your parents shouldn't need to find out. On that note, I commend you and applaud you for being aware of your emotions and wanting to change it!!
No, it's not normal to be irrationally indignant about things you can not control.
You may not want your parents to know, but they probably should. If you involve them they will be able to supply you more resources. By resources, I mean a real therapist/psychiatrist instead of your school counselor.
Chances are, if you go to the school counselor, they will suggest you tell your parents or just do it themselves.
Good Luck.
