Why is everything in life hard? Why is nothing simple?

Try to build a bike... You end up having the neighbor engineer assemble it. Try to get a job, and end up going through five terrifying interviews with five future direct bosses. Try to do taxes, and end up certifiably insane with a bad case of hives. Why isn't life simple?

Answer:
Sometimes, life seems absolutely worthless & hard. It can make you just want to give up. You think to yourself "what is the point?" It is too hard, I keep failing, etc.

But that is just life. You will have ups and you will have downs. You will have things go crazy, and you will have things work out perfectly. Thats just the wild nature of life sometimes.

But it is this unpredictability that makes it worth living. Sometimes we learn important things when we fail or have bad things happen. If everything happened perfectly just the way you wanted everytime, eventually life would get boring.

It can be like a video game for instance. If you master a video game, it will soon become very boring. This is because you know what to expect, and you can always beat the game or whatever.

Also, having bad things happen in life helps you to appreciate the good things. Just like evil people help you to appreciate good people.

These bad things in life help us to build knowledge, character, experience, and so much more. Life is the greatest teacher.
To make you appriciate the times when things actually ARE easy. And also, virtually nothing is easy in this society because it is man-made. Things and processes invented by humans are usually very complicated and difficult. Especially when we are talking about the government :)
I think this is because humans have this crazy idea that everything needs to be organized and regulated in order to work. However, we only end up digging ourselves into a deeper hole as we have to obey and abide by things that are supposed to make our lives easier, but because there are so many of these rules, they have ended up complicating our lives. Its funny because we are actually suffering because of rules and laws that were invented years before our time, by people that arent even alive anymore to deal with them. The way each of us lives our own lives should be up to US. Not regulated by thousands of useless rules and laws which are outdated and close-minded.
Life is as simple or as complicated as you make it. Sometimes when something is hard you are more accomplished when you see it through to the finish. If everything was simple and easy than what would be the point??
if life were simple, what would there be to gain out of it? nothing. so therefore, we must endure trials and find our tribulations in life so that we can pass them on to future generations
People often complain about this very topic, the answer is, there arent many things in life that are easy. What people tend to do is just complain, not go out and make things easy for themselves. I had a job for over a year i hated, so i worked hard to find a job that i love. Now im in a position where im making the kind of money that makes me feel as though im appreceated. Yes it was hard to get to this point, but now its not problem getting up in the morning and going to work. Things tend to get eaiser the harder you work for them, and when you have them they mean so much more because you hustled hard for them.

As far as the bike thing goes, i think thats something that were never gonna solve. You need an advanced degree in quantum physics to put those things together. Even then there are extra pieces left over.
This is a great question - something that everyone faces at various times in their lives. You may feel that everything is hard, but I'd say to you that everything is hard the first time or first few times you try it. If everything was easy, there would be no need for school, education, learning, discovery. What's more, it's by doing or even attempting the hard things in life that shape your personality and make you wise.

With your example of the bike, its not like you need to do that on a regular basis so why on earth would you be an expert at it? If you really wanted, you could ask your engineer friend to lend you a hand and with some determination on your part and patience on their's, you would learn what the best way to assemble a bike is. Next time you tried it, you'd find it easier and the next time easier again! Before long, your friends would be going to you for help to assemble their new bikes and you could share the knowledge.

Life can seem so hard at times, of course, but if it wasn't then what would the point be? Try to remember that everything you face has been done before and will be done again - many many times. How difficult it is all depends on how much time your willing to spend on it and your method of preparation.

(as for the interviews, I say just be yourself and if the job is for you, you'll get it) ;-) Go get 'em!
There's order in the chaos,
and chaos in the order.
Since you asked why...this implies you won't ever be satisfied with a quick jokey/cutesy answer. Imagine you've tripped over a strange object in sand, and after digging for hours, then days, you discover you've only partially begun to unearth a huge pyramid structure. After doing a little math, you then get an idea how large the thing really is, then realise it would take longer than your lifetime to dig to the base, even with a large team and much earth-moving equipment.
Did you pack a lunch?
Why not try to discard your victim mentality and relax, look at the bright side, count your many blessings and get outside of yourself and help someone who is having a rough patch like you are. You can be mutually supportive and emerge from your funk in no time. I hope building a bike and interviewing for a job is the worst stress you encounter in your life. Dennis Leary says, "Life's hard. Get a helmet."
it is simple. well you just didnt buy the bike premade. well about the future five direct bosses, well comeon you arent working 5 jobs. so you only have 1 boss stop exagerate it. well you taxes is simple- just hand it over to an accountant.
