What is normal?

OK for years i here people make fun of people for not being "normal" so i ask today whats is normal if noone can come up with an answer then why go ahead and call people abnormal ?

I am glad you asked,
I rarely use the word "normal".
Normal for some is meant to be common.

When someone does something different (Hint: uncommon)
That's where the whole "Abnormal,weird,strange"
comes along.

But in a world, like the one we live in where there is so much hatred,rascism,
sometimes More hate than love.
What is there to call "normal"

It's only normal because you're use to it.
Example:

Billy: Hey, Jennifer do you think I should try out for the baseball team?

Jennifer: Of course, it's normal.You're very tall.

Billy: Yeah, it's normal.I mean something abnormal will be a short girl like you in a baseball team ha ha ha..

Jennifer: But..I'm actually good at baseball..

Billy: Yeah, but I mean you're too short and people are use to seeing tall people playing baseball.

Jennifer:Well, if me in the school team's baseball is abnormal then maybe i shouldn't try out,I mean I don't want to be called weird or abnormal.

Billy: Yeah

Jennifer:Yeah...

I just made all of this up, but it should give you some what an example of what some people may understand when it comes to the terms of "normal".

people tend to be social animals and hang out in groups
what is considered normal varies enormously from group to group, this is especially obvious when you travel to a country with a very different culture

we all want to be included in a group so we tend to look for others who share our likes and dislikes etc
Sadly obtaining 'membership' of a group often relies on excluding other would be members so some people are labelled abnormal so we can feel more normal if you see what i mean
