The definition of normality of subjective, and therefore is dependant on what type of behaviour is being described. Since no one person is perfect, it will always depend on the situation, my nutty squirrly friend : )

Don't use semantics as an excuse for being immature.
Normal can only be defined as most common so therefor murders and child molesters should not be urged to do more harm as they are still troubled oddities of society.
"Normal" is when people conform to "social norms".. you do what people expect of you to do and nothing out of the ordinary.

there should be some question as of test that anybody can take and see if she/he is normall or no

normal just a way to way what is common in society nowadays. since we don't see most people's crazy side, they become the norm. and eccentric, flying saucer spotting, random person kissing, maniacs end up seeming odd, because their are not as many you see. i don't know. i could just be making all of this up! have a nice life
It is unfair to label people all-together, no one is "crazy" unless they are officially rendered mentally ill to the point of causing harm to themselves or someone else. Other-wise "crazy" is just a hazy term that anyone can throw in the air without it meaning very much at all -- almost like a cliche for what is deemed unfit to certain people in society.
Therefore normal is just a label, as is sane and crazy.

Normality is a standard deviation curve. There's a continuum and everybody is sitting on it somewhere. The normal people are the ones who are sitting around the middle of the bell curve, and the weirdos are the ones that are way off to the side.
i agree with you; no one is completly normal except for those boring few people. so what i always say is 'whats the point in being normal? normal is boring!!!' and sometimes: 'im the normal one...everyone else is just weird!' when in actual fact i know im not normal...and im just gonna stop blabbibg on about it now... :)
I see where you're coming from, but I would define normality as the majority of people's thoughts and actions. I guess you could call normality, where ever the flow is going. So if you want to be normal, then we should go with the flow.
And even though many of us do go with the flow, you're deep inside each of us, there is a voice screaming to be different. I ignore that voice, but there are others that I know who embrace that voice more then it's good for them.

The word to me used to be 'Normal'.
ie., things used to get back to normal.

Normal comes from teh statistical term Norm, meaning average. Who wants to be average?

I imagine that as fellow humans we share similiar personality traits... similiar behavior patterns and emotions, thereby deeming us ALL for the most part "normal". It is only when someone deviates wildly in their actions, that we label him or her "abnormal". The country we grew up in, the parents that raised us, the society we keep, the secret thoughts we harbor all shape us into individuals... And much like snowflakes not a one of us is the same. My random thoughts... your poetic words... very different from each other... yet both very "normal". So in a way, I agree. Feel free to be yourself.
Well, the normal ones are those you should steer well clear of; you never know just what they might do. But weird people... why, they are absolutely smashing my dear! Normal is very bad. I should know, being irrepairably insane.
Interesting that you use a geography teacher as an example of 'normality' - mine was a raving lunatic.
I would like to live in an mushroom house, wearing a dress made out of a leaf, with an acorn hat. I'd get up every morning and make tea out of the dewdrops, and instead of a car I would have a friendly bee who carried me places on his back. I would be friends with all the woodland creatures and we would have midnight parties under some toadstools. But alas...I live in a flat above a shop in leicester.
we are told what is normal by the society we live in. We are fed 'norms and values' by the process of socialization. People who don't fit in with these norms and values are considered outcasts and shunned.
The funny thing is, there seems to be a fine line between being 'abnormal' (eccentric or mad) and being a genius. A lot of the great geniuses in the past were considered to be mad or very eccentric at the time. (eg Einstein, Copernicus, Freud)
