Do you believe that your experiences make who you are today.?

if one major thing that had hapened to you, did not happen, would u be the same person? If so what was that one thing that changed u for life if u have just one.

Answer:
yeah except there r certain things that i would like to not have experienced.
Absolutely!
yes.....no.....
I do indeed! Experiences are just tread marks on the soul : )
Absolutely, every experience changes how you think, feel, and then act during another experience related. People are always changing due to this, there is no set blue print of a person's identity. My thoughts were different until I took Philosophy of Existentialsm. Now I still am a religious person, and I do believe that God has a plan for everyone, and as humans we should serve others when we have the power to. But, I am still a bit racists because of past experiences, and I am still shy when it comes to dating because of past relationships. SO, in conclusion, unless you are super religious and believe, like God, you should forgive, love, and serve when you have the power to do so, then you have no set blue print and it is EXPERIENCES that shape who you are.
Life is a journey, offering several different paths to take. Some paths do not have choices, like the parents we have. However, most of the opportunities of life offer various paths to choose from. The paths we choose give us the experiences that mold a person into who he/she is.

One experience I am very grateful for was my introduction to Jesus. Becoming a Christian changed my life and the way I look at it. The selfish desires of life, no longer become a major priority---but, building a relationship with God is. I know that no matter the experiences I have and the paths I choose, the ultimate end of my path will lead to eternity with God.
Hard core combat.don't have a clue who I would have been.
Yes. I also believe every human in the USA developes a certain mindset. Based on that mindset is the path they select. In other words, what someone is about does not change much overtime.
yes I believe circumstance has alot to do with who you are, but also think how you react to certain things can play a big factor in who you become. The biggest life changing event in my life was a job. We all want to advance and improve ourselves and our standard of living. Prior to this job I was a go happy person who had hope for the future. I applied for the job because I was trying to improve my standard of living and broaden my work experiences. No experience was required. I worked for close to a year as a temporary before the company decided to hire me. It was a non-union factory. I was basically descriminated against by male boss. I reported it to his superiors and the hr department. To make a long story short, instead of correcting the problem they instigated more problems for me and basically, harrassed me until I quit 5 years later. It destroyed my life my views of what humanbeings are really about. I'm here to tell you love doesn't make the world go round. Money does. I know this because anyone who had a conscience would have told the truth. I've come to realize people only love you when its easy. One thing I need to make clear is that I became hated for my honesty and was told on a daily basis how stupid I was for being an honest person. I now am on permanant disability because I refuse to be a liar and coniver just so that I can make a living.
Experiences definitely make who you are... I would not be the person I am today if I hadn't have gone through some things.
Hah unfortunately in my case, I'd be better off if things didn't effect who I am today.
...if that makes sense.
Sorry I'm a bit scrambled tonight.
Every decision you make, takes you down a path that you wouldn't have gone down if you'd made a different choice! Given the number of decisions we make on a daily basis, imagine how many possible tracks we could have taken over a lifetime!
Before my mother met my father, she was engaged to a very wealthy man. I used to think "wow, I could have been born into a rich family".
Then we found out recently, that this man had been married 3 times, before dying at age 42 from a stroke.
My parents have been happily married for nearly 50 years, and I was raised in a loving home.
So I guess the answer is, YES, it would only take one little thing to have not happened [like my mother missing the train the day she met Dad], to completely change your entire life!
