Does apologizing to a girl after you screwed up ever make a difference?
I screwed up with a girl I really wanted and she acted like she wanted me back, but I messed up with her. Instead of asking her out face to face like I should have, I sent her an e-mail on her myspace page containing this stupid psycho-babble I got from some mens dating guide that was supposed to make her feel attraction for me. Needless to say it didn't work, and I feel horrible. I did it because I was too scared to ask her out like I should have and be myself. I want to apologize to her and tell her the truth but I am afraid there is no way she would listen. Does anyone think I have a chance?

she probably thinks your a stupid guy who was just trying to get her to like you, but if you think that it seems as if she wants you back just get some time alone with her and ask her to hear you out.
tell her that all you want to do is talk and if she doesn't listen she is gonna miss out on an apology because you like her and your sorry you messed up and you promise not to do it again because you have learned from your mistakes.

Well that was a pretty dumb thing of you to do. but you already realized that and thats a great thing! Being a girl myself I have forgiven guys for some really stupid stuff so it really depends on what kind of girl she is. All in all, TELL HER THE TRUTH! Worst she can say is "I never want to see you again", but I seriously doubt that! You'll never know until you talk to her.
Sure apologizing works, if you're sincere. And it sounds like you are. I think you've got a chance - ask her out for a cup of coffee and to lunch and explain how you were nervous to talk in person. If she's understanding, then she'll really appreciate you telling her your feelings. Your best bet is to always say important things in person - it makes the other person feel that you care enough.
